DANIEL MATHESON - SCULPTOR
Daniel Matheson holds a BFA in Sculpture from Buffalo State University and is the Foundry Manager for the Sculpture Department at The School of the Art Institute of Chicago.
His work has a focus on cast iron and he is well known in the international cast iron art community. Dan has taught, lectured, and poured iron at various conferences, institutions and workshops worldwide including The School of the Art Institute of Chicago, Buffalo State College, Ox Bow School of the Arts, the International and National conferences on Cast Iron Art and Practices, and International Sculpture Conferences.
He has also been a visiting artist due to his personal artistic foundry practice at The Royal College of Art in London, Parikkala Sculpture Park in Finland and many places in the United States.
